Ha ha, very funny, that remark seems to tell me that you think I am an idiot for watching it occasionally.
Like most of these shows...they have a longish run, then a break of several weeks/two or three months, then return for another longish run.
I think Countdown is one that goes on and on and on...without end.
Thank goodness!
I've never seen the appeal of it, myself. I don't necessarily think that people who watch it are idiots, but I was surprised when my son said that his very clever maths student housemate was mad about the show. He liked to work out the probabilities of winning a decent amount at each stage, and the best strategy at any time.
I won't miss it, though.
I used to find it easy to follow, with a fairly simple format.

However the last few times I have watched it, I have been confused by all the add ons. I guess they are supposed to add interest, but fail.

Time to put it out of its misery, I think.
I like it, I hope it comes back permanently.
I have always said that I admire Noel Edmonds tremendously for the amount of atmosphere he manages to create with this show.

He manages to make what is entirely guesswork - the choice of box - look like it involves strategy that would bankrupt a Las Vegas casino.

Then he makes the entirely random choice of which box sits in front of which contestant look like a life-changing decision has taken place and the person behind the box can hail or wail depending on the result, like they had everything to do with it!
Yes Andy it's a game of pure chance. Why everyone goes on about strategy, I have no idea.

Thank you all for your comments and information, I'm glad it's coming back I couldn't watch it religiously every day but I do like to tune in occasionally and hope to see someone win 250,000.
Sorry. I find it brain numbing. Give me The Chase any day.
