I've a feeling some on here might be miffed

Good news. Although it's surprising that companies see it as worthwhile shipping right across the globe. That's a lot of transportation. But every bit helps, and hopefully other agreements with be equally successful or better.

I'm sure they will OG.  The wise that voted for Brexit did not expect miracles and knew we had to wait for a good few years before things would improve.  And Covid extended the wait.  In fact most of us wanted out of Europe long before Brexit.  Perhaps some did expect miracles.

Needs must, OG, especially when your closest neighbours seem to be going out of their way to make trade cumbersome.

& the Chinese don't seem to have a problem shipping their products far & wide.

What a good idea... Buy your furniture, cars, other road vehicles and railway equipment from Australia. And help to close down and throw people out of work in the UK Who manufacture  furniture, cars ,other road vehicles and railway equipment What a splend idea .Only  the Tories could have thought that one out. Get the gun out and aim carefully for the foot.

I wonder if they'd take unwashed invaders as part payment on the return trip.

They seem fairly successful at the offshoring stuff.

I see some think its a good idea to buy from China but not from Aus. Some serious thinkers there!

This trade should never have stopped.  I'm glad we are entering into deals with our close friends down under and still regret we shafted them in favour of the EU.

But it was ok when were in the EU and buying stuff from them.

Derrrrr.

10 58 ......Pity you can't see the negatives...🤣

Pity you don't stop boring everyone senseless, Gulliver.  Good or bad, none of it affects you.

gulliver.

Pity you can't post a link or answer a reply.

It was a Forgione conclusion 🤣

I'm a little surprised that no other papers - not the pro-Brexit Mail nor the anti-Brexit Guardian nor the pro-business FT, nor Australian papers - seem to have picked up on this story yet. I expect they will eventually when they read ther copies of the Express.

It's good, despite the Express spin ... although if it was about trade then we wouldn't have left the EU in the first place. It's like we set fire purposely to the orchard, and now some time later we're delighted that we're getting a few apples again.
