At first I quite liked this programme but now it's so obviously staged, same scenario every episode, people whispering that they've spotted something at the back and hope no one else sees it.

Then when they've won the 'bidding war' they find a few items and take them off to be valued without looking through the rest of the stuff

It's the same with the UK version, absolute ***!

All staged. Made for the viewers entertainment.
I feel the same. Also think Antiques Roadshow is staged. No way are these shopkeepers dropping their prices so far. Think they're being paid the difference after they're off camera.

Antiques Roadshow/ Shopkeepers?

What do you mean maggibee?
I wondered that panky, maybe Maggie meant Antiques Road Trip which has shopkeepers in it.
Yes but they get free advertising for their shops.
Oops, yes Tizzi, I did mean Antiques Road Trip - senior moment lol

One week they opened the container and great shrieks from all with the rats that came tumbling out. Yeh fancy rats not your common brown rat and how were they supposed to live with no water but kilos of rice? if they had gone out of the container they would have stayed out, yes everything is staged.
Unfortunately, I have the misfortune of having met someone from the UK version, not a mate or anything.....just someone I know from a casual meeting with other colleagues and I have to say is every bit the kn0b- head he is in the programme......seen it once, never wanna see it again....total dross.
