Andy Burnham.
The new Labour leader will be whoever the Unions want.
The voting system has changed to one member one vote

Is it my imagination or is everyone being particularly rude to each other today ...
Labour should have refused to accept Ed's resignation, an honest and principled man. If Chukka becomes leader Labour have lost a supporter.
Much as I like Ed there is no way back for anyone after a defeat like that.
Honest and principled and scarily clever. Too clever really
Better say no more :-)
It was Ed Mil who allowed the Tories to win. Wish he'd stay.
handyguy, Ed Miliband, honest and principled? He said anything he thought the electorate might fall for - his only ambition to be Prime Minister!!

Labour didn't succeed with Gordon Brown at the helm. He was a disaster!

Eve "I like Andy Burnham too, for me he seems to represent better traditional Labour values...links with the Unions etc..."

Er, except Labour have just lost because of these!

Apparently Chukka has no chance because he is perceived as 'too London'.

What does this mean, and why is it bad, when presumably 'too Manchester', 'too Exeter' or 'too Birmingham' would not be bad?
Btw. Who or what is Chukka?

I believe it's a period of play in Polo.
