Smell of new suitcases

I've just bought new suitcases and i was wondering how do i get rid of the smell inside? I'm going away in 2 weeks and i don't want my clothes smelling.

My aunt uses bicarbonate of soda to remove smells from anything like that. You could try it. Good Luck and enjoy your holiday!!

I never even thought of using bicarb.Thanks for that.I'll give it a try.I'm going to Crete so it should be fun!

Perhaps you could replace the smell with one you like? Like a perfume? I quite like Febreeze. It seems to absorb odours and doesn't smell itself too much after its done its job.
Put a couple of sheets of Bounce fabric conditioner sheets in and close it up. It will come out smelling wonderful. This also works for smelly trainers as well.
