So how do you tax your car. If you tax your new car before notifying change of ownership will your tax be removed by the DVLA?

Ah right, another scam, in this case by government/DVLA, to grab money and make the lives of the decent citizen as unbearable as possible then ? So what's news ? Today's world is like that, a species gets the society the worst of them create.
here is what the article says: "While most motorists know that tax discs are no longer required, what is catching out many is that vehicle excise duty is automatically cancelled if a car changes ownership – even if there is a valid disc in the window. - No sympathy the rules are very clear and simple, new keeper can use the V5C/2 to tax it, old keeper will get a refund when they send off he V5 very simple, vast improvement on the old system.
and the "no transfer of tax" happened before the discs were abolished.
