Do people really choose who to vote for based on the televised Political debates? It may prove who's better at arguing, but does this necessarily equate to who can lead our country?

Isnt it a bit like choosing a Formula One winner based on how well they can argue that their car is the best?

It would seem so in a minor sort of way, as before the last election Nick (fresh faced) Clegg fooled the electorate in the UK by pinching votes and letting in a coalition government.

Would you buy a car without seeing it and trying it first?

The UK style debates on TV are a total waste of time.

My winner....Farage.
Do I really have to chose one of these dumbos to lead the country? Unbelievable isn't it? None of them did anything to win me over.

Some might, but if they think Nicola Sturgeon won and they live outside Scotland they couldn’t vote SNP – even if they wanted to. The SNP isn’t represented in the rest of the country.
It will be part of the next government though if the North votes Labour.
If Nicola Sturgeon has her way the SNP will have an effect on the UK pa rliament as threatened by her in the debate.
The North eh? Thanks for that.
I am surprised Sqad hasnt pointed out this is not a scientific hypothesis as one cant falsify the hypothesis

that is you cant construct an experiment to see if it is true or not

what control group could there be ? compare voting habits of those who are addicted to ltele debates to those who arent ? too many confounding factors

According to the Latinists last week - even when the offices of the Roman Empire were appointed, the candidates still took to the streets and treated it as tho it was an election ..... !

the North has always been taken as N/c e M/cr
Scotland being looked on a Ultima Thule ( v far North )

I was asked if I was going south of the Border
and said " Blimey if I did that I would fall into Poole Harbour "
and got completely blank looks from my listeners

If they were all taxi drivers I would choose the Black Cab & driver, for Its sturdy, strong, reliability, visual fare (no hidden charges) & the driver knows the best route coz he's done 'the knowledge', that would be Cameron, imo.
