can anyone please answer this question for me? in york there is a large hill almost virtical covered in grass with daffodils all over i would like to know how the grass is cut because it is so neat ,it would be impossible to walk up i would be very intrested to know the answer ,thanks in advance

I would think they would use a lawnmower that was attached to strings. At school, we had football fields with (nearly) vertical sides. These were covered in grass and they used to mow the grass by using a normal mower but it was attached to two threads/ropes. These were attached to opposite ends of the handle and the user would just have to reel in the thread or move along the top of the hill to cut the grass. Then he would pul up the mower when finished.
Very simple but very efficient.
