There is a sample test for recruitment in Scotland:

If you contact the force you intend applying to, they will send you specimen tests and lots of other recruitment information.

thanks ethel, that was a help. xx
hey sorry i aint got an answer to ur question but i was wondering if you could send me some info on the police if ya recieve any becoz i bin finkin bout the force myself!
I went on the selection day for the Met Police last Thursday. It is quite daunting but the Maths test(Numerical Reasoning) is not as hard as you probably think, all the practice/example tests i did were harder so just get in as much practice as you can. If you apply you will have loads of time between having your application accepted and your selection day so just be well prepared and you should be fine. I can't tell you exactly how hard you will find it because i have no idea how good you are at maths but its nothing to worry about.
