I've been looking at the Premium Bond winners for December

One of the £1.000.000 winner only bought the winning numbered Bond in May this year.

One of the £100.000 winners bought the winning bond in August.

Shame I wasn't one of them!

The lower prizes aren't out yet so there is always hope of a small windfall.

Has anyone here won a significant amount on the Premium Bonds.

Bought Premium Bonds in 1981 and I've never won a thing.
I have premium bonds since 1959 and never won a penny :(
£10k about three years ago.
My highest is £1000 in August 2007. Just 4 lots of £25 this year.
Don't let Mikey4444 hear you talking about buying Premium Bonds
Baz....I've had some nice wins....but I'm still not going to say a word to Mikey....☺
I have only popped in to see if mikey had popped in.
Hey - gness - that offer of a toy boy is still open
And I haven't forgotten, Baz....♥
Hmmm, no winnings here for ages. Maybe older bonds need recycling?
Yet another £25 for December. Used to be £50s...I blame Osbourne!
Its a p^$$ buying bonds as they wont take cash now.
Hi Cupo, I won £ 50 this month. I usually win something every month. Twice I've won £10,000 and many other amounts down to £25. Good luck with your numbers this month xx
I really do wonder what sort of investment is needed to create a few wins of £10 k and the like ..?

I'm afraid I'm with Mikey on Premium Bonds.
Another nice win for me this month.....I like this....☺

Well , i beleive gness has got 100k 'invested '

( ' invested' - for mikey's benefit )

I knew you were just after my money, Baz.... ;-)
No-one is commenting how many Bonds they have, so comparisons are impossible to make.
On a holding of £30k held over several years, a win of £25 most months and a couple of £50. Nothing greater than that.
On an annualised basis it has worked out at around 1.5% return per annum - which seems in line with what the blurb says. A less than average return but with a small chance of winning something more special.
2x£25 on £5000 ... will buy the Christmas Rum I suppose :)
