about an hour ago 2 Lancasters flew overhead, so low you could count the rivets, why do you never have a camera ready? Perhaps I should keep my phone in my pyjama pocket, I did once open the door in my pyjama's, not everyone has a door in theirs.

Obviously not wanting to be at war but I often wish I could have seen a whole squadron of the big birds must have been a truly awesome sight.
YOU LUCKY DEVIL !!!!!!!

Give me eye teeth to see the pair together!!
We lived near a U.S. base during the war and the B29's were also very impressive with their Pratt and Whitney motors. Prefer the Merlin though.

You guys are lucky. One of those Lancasters is based less than a hundred miles from me, yet I never get to see it flying around.

young lady at our local shops this morning @8.15 am was in PJs and dressing gown & slippers out with her young man who was reasonably dressed in shorts & tee shirt.
I have a photo of the RCAF one taken at an air-show back in the '60s. I'll see if I can find it and post it.
