Girlies, how do you avoid having a VPL when wearing pants at a certain time of the month? (following on from the period pants question!) I wear trousers to work but feel really uncomfortable walking round with a VPL. I know some places sell 'seamless' ones but they don't look like they'd make a difference.

I wouldn't wear them myself, but apparently you can buy things to fit thongs if you know what I mean!

just wear a thong, that's if you use tampons, you can always use a bodyform string or a micro too. I use them and they keep me fresh throughout the day

wear even bigger pants! waist band up to your waist, no vpl there, and leg line half way down thigh where trousers are not so tight: That's what they used to do in the old'n days...

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
forgive my ignorance, but what is VPL?

I'm trying to figure this out...you don't normally wear underpants? (It seems to me that if you're worried about VPLs then even the outline of a thong would show.) Anyway, if you're dead set on going commando, have you considered a menstrual cup?

lia - visible panty line

ouisch - i don't go commando! i usually wear a thong although wish i didn't have to, pants are so much more comfy.

not sure about the huge ones though mimififi!

period pants ,bowel movements and now the menstrual cup, go on then what is it. lets see the name suggests some kind of cup that collects menstruels. surely the embarrasing bulge is worse than a vpl. and where are you meant to keep this cup when not in use on a nail in the bathroom . no your all just making it up there is no such thing

anyway its sunday and lunch has to be prepared so lets not have any more of this kind of yuk

This raises a question that has mystified my for ages. I work in an office with women of all ages. The younger ones wear thongs, despite the fact that some have arses that are not worth looking at so you would never check out that area anyway. For reasons of age, marriage, having kids, periods etc. there gets to be a point where you generate into big pants for comfort, convenience or whatever. The question is, if wearing a thong is do darn uncomfortable, why bother? I am convinced that women dress for the benefit of other women rather than blokes when they go out. Most blokes I know look at a woman and, if wearing a thong, will think "She's telling the world she's easy". A woman with comfortable pants on is saying to the world, "I don't really care what people think, I'm above all this appearance stuff and far better quality". Why not have a poll amongst your male workmates and find out what they think, they will appreciate your interest?

Interesting point danndydingbat - don't think i'll be asking anyone at work though!
Oi dannydingbat! I am married with two children and will ONLY wear thongs, not for anyone else's benefit but mine. I find them to be very comfortable. Oh and by the way, this certainly does not mean that I am EASY !!!! You cheeky monkey:-)
OK Rosieo, but this is the opinion of many of the blokes I know.
Wear shorties. I've never had VPL, and not had to go through the trauma of wearing a thong either. The seamless pants really work, especially the Sloggi ones: no hems or anything!

I think thongs are horrid. Whale-tail = common.

p.s: dannydingbat: yes, I think women DO dress for other women. Men don't really care what your cllothes look like; more what's underneath them!
Hey, i get these great pants out of primark. They are seam free, so comfy and NO VPL! Cheap as chips as well. I think most places do the same sort, they're basically just lycra i think. Anyway, have a look in your local primark if you have one or ask a member of staff!
Don't worry, VPL is actually INCREDIBLY sexy !

malaise- I can assure you that my knickers are well and truly under my clothes and not hanging out all over the show, as I agree that undies on display is never a good look, whether they are thongs or belly-huggers!!!x
