Tescos have had another fall in profit this does not really surprise me as I find the staff rude and unhelpful generally with a bad attitude and are not interested at all in what their customers want only in 100% profit. Pride comes before a fall.

never had a problem with tesco's, pricewise they are cheaper than waitrose and sainsburys and have a bit more choice than asda
Our local Tesco is fine, well stocked, lovely chatty staff, very helpful. They stock Christmas cards, ribbons and decorations too.
Don't go there nearly as much as I used to (I have an 'Express' 3 mins walk and a superstore 3 mins drive away) because of the quality if their meat, chicken was OK but could never seem to get decent beef, lamb or pork.
Surprisingly(?) I now get meat from Aldi and everything else I need at the same time
Just yesterday, I had a bad experience at Tesco in Bridgend. I had a query at customer services, the response was unhelpful to the point of rudeness. I used to manage a customer service department, I was left wondering if the person had received any training in customer care at all. It's not rocket science, Tesco needs to get its act together. I prefer Asda.
'if their' - I didn't type that....'of there'
Mr Doom and Gloom strikes again !
No problem with staff at our local Tesco - all keen to please, and show concern if I have a complaint. But an Asda opened recently in our town, and their lower prices mean that Tesco's is now sometimes almost deserted. Again, why should Tesco charge 30% or so more for the same items as are stocked by the likes of Iceland, Farm Foods, B&M, etc, etc, yet expect customer to roll up to the door?
I've found that Tesco prices in some instances have really dropped to match the other local big supermarkets.

However - many of us are migrating to Aldi generally, as their stuff is such good value, and they have won Supermarket of the Year yet again.
Tesco's are ok - their profits problems have been caused by the arrival of Aldi and Lidl as cut-price supermarkets.

I was persuaded to try our new Aldi in Bishops Stortford and couldn't see what the fuss was about. The store was a bit of a muddle and there was a funny smell - I won't be going back!

I think Tesco should keep on doing what their doing and ride out the mini-storm.
I wish they would buy some decent uniforms for their staff.
Perhaps Zac Master is getting confused as Jack Cohen wife was called Cissie. I wonder if he is getting confused with the Cissieco supermarket group?
Any fall in profits probably comes from them being undercut by stores such as Lidl and Aldi. They're ok.
