Been having a good old think about things over the last couple of days and decided to start changing things (attitude/outlook, etc). Totally spoilt by some complacent witch on the walk home from school. Made me so cross. It's such a shame that people that (appear) to have a 'charmed life' can't see past their bloody smugness. Not a question, just a teeny rant (didn't post earlier, would have been too many swear words swopped for random terms).

Right, have given myself a speaking to and gotten out of my pathetic slump (sorry for being so wet yesterday).

Anyway, didn't see the other mum this morning but she just tried to start an argument in the playground. Apparently thing 1 reduced her son to tears (said I didn't notice but she should have said something about it then and there). Apparently thing 1 is in his face all the time (to be fair it's 25/75% with him being worse), I was diplomatic and said it was six of one and half a dozen of the other (nearly choked me though). She then went on to say her 'claws were out' and 'she was going before she got into an argument'.

I felt the whole thing was totally out of proportion - if I had felt so aggrieved I would have said something like 'can you keep your brat away from thing 1 and I will keep thing 1 away from your brat - they seem to rub each other the wrong way'.

Can't help thinking she has something else going on but would prefer to try and pick a fight with me than deal with it. Anyway, if she wants an argument off the playground she can have one but I am not going to indulge her either in front of other parents or children.
She sounds like a self centric emotional vampire.

I'd give her a wide birth and leave your kids to make their own decisions.

I'm not a parent so that last bit may be a crap idea!
Perhaps she's jealous of you and your nice family, sher....
When I say 'your' kids I mean the kids in general.

I'd already decided I wasn't going to let anyone squish thing 1 - she can be a pain in the butt but she is my pain in the butt. Gobsmacked the other woman went so mental over kids bickering on the walk home (her son is a spoilt brat who talks to her like dirt - he's 7 and I've seen him make her cry).

School run should be interesting for the next couple of days :)
We'll look out for the next episode :-)

Good job I'd talked myself out of my pity-fest, would have hated to come out of an 'argument' badly.
