At least you're not likely to be under threat of inundation. There's talk of a storm surge and some flooding at high tide, about noon, here in Belfast.

It was lovely here this morning, but in the last 15 minutes, the ground has turned white from hailstones!

People in the low lying areas that might flood have been warned so they can take some precautions, move valuables, photo albums and the like. It's when a flood comes unexpectedly that damage to treasured and irreplaceable items happens. I hope it's a false alarm.

I just looked out the window and saw "steam" rising over the shoreline of Lake Ontario. It's quite an interesting view: don't see it very often.

Now there's a thunderstorm over the sea - two very large cracks of lightning, but otherwise quiet, no rain.
