Anyone had anything really good from their lately? Fancy treating ourselves. We eat most things but would like something suitable for a cold winters night with a few glasses of red.

Come on you lot. Food is a favourite subject on here usually.
Zacs, I'd love to help but I don't shop at Waitrose.
I don't think they are any better than most supermarkets. I think they just package it better.
Their steak and kidney pudding is lovely. We had it last year. Haven't looked for it this year yet, but hope they still do it.
Ive never been in a Waitrose, none round here, sorry.
I've been buying their frozen mackerel fillets and they only take around 13 - 14 minutes in the oven. Very nice. Don't think I've seen them in any other supermarket. I get them online with my Ocado order.
Waitrose has really gone downhill, imo. I used to enjoy their boneless stuffed guinea fowl and stuffed ducks - haven't seen any on the shelves for a long time.
The potato croquettes were a favourite of mine, made with mashed Maris Piper potatoes. Now they only do an economy version which are horrid.
They also used to sell stuffed, boneless salmon joints - now discontinued.

Their steak pie gets a dreadful review here:

IMO they have have tried to down-market, to compete with the other supermarkets and keep their market share. I'd rather go to M&S.
