I am using Windows XP, in my C: drive I have some folders entitled FOUND.000 through to FOUND.019 is ir safe to delete these folders or will deleting them stop windows from working?

Is it in a subfolder or is it there as soon as you open c drive ?

they are there when you open the C drive. The contain some files all .chk

Your computer will be completely unaffected if you delete these. And it is unlikely that you have any data in there that you need to recover.
