"I have met many wonderful academics who make bad practitioners.
A lawyer friend of mine once told me that he received 300 applications for two training places every year and he picked the winners at random on the grounds that he wanted lucky people to work with, not academically clever ones."

lol robert, I guess its as good a way as any other. In the health service, the good academic/bad practitioner thing is certainly true.
