Grrrr, opened a paper and the title for the piece gave away a major development. Why the frig do the do it, nothing can be a surprise these days!

she did it herself - the writer, I mean, not Bridge, she told the press, she's got a book to sell and figures people will buy it to find out the details.
Im very disappointed, I pre-ordered this book a couple of months ago, but now Im not looking forward to it plopping into my Kindle :( Regrettably.

Ah, didn't know that jno, she'll sell bundles anyways, Bridget was/is very popular.
she was, rocky, but it's been a long time since the last book or film and I suspect the publishers felt people's memories needed jogging.

So anyway, now you know about her marriage to Adrian Mole, I hope you're not too let down.
Question Author
Lol, ;)
Has she kept Daniel Cleever in as a character ? That could make an interesting possibility. Probably can't afford Colin Firth for the film though I'll miss the girly fight.

I don't know Zebo, I refused to read any of the articles as I was peed off that the headlines gave away too much, it wouldn't be worth reading the book if they spill any more.
Not so fussed about this specifically but your general point about spoilers, and why things can't be kept a surprise, I completely agree with. I'm old enough to remember when big developments in TV shows etc were genuine surprises and didn't get endless pre-coverage. I think it's partly that there are now so many ways of information sharing, everything has to be put out there to fill this void. I tend to manage avoiding the sources of most spoilers, and certainly rarely read reviews (which often give stuff away).

Indeed Backdrifter, I've had to avoid Homeland threads on here this week as I haven't seen the latest installment but was a bit peeved when the title of a thread for Downton Abbey gave away a bit of the storyline.

The price we pay I suppose for instant information.
