I drove through the same tunnel in Paris that Diana died in, only 3 weeks after the accident in 1997. Anyone driving much above 30-40 mph at that point was driving very dangerously indeed.

Diana died because the driver of her limo was going at a stupidly fast speed and she wasn't wearing a seat belt. There were 4 people in limo that day and the only one who survived, was the only one wearing a seat belt.

There was no conspiracy in the same way that Elvis isn't still alive and working in a Walmart in Nowheresville, USA.

Why can't people just accept that and move on ?

/// Hang on, is Prince Philip still regarded as 'a member of the military' ? ///

What are you suggesting? if it is what I suspect, you should be ashamed of yourself.

But still there is one consolation, in that it has remained on AB for all to see.
So the claim is the SAS were involved.......

if anybody really thinks the truth will out if it hasnt already then they need a large does of reality tablets
AOG, Mr al-Fayed claimed that his son,Dodi, and Princess Diana, were killed on the orders of the Royal Family, Prince Philip being being prime among them. The murder was one large conspiracy to kill both because Dodi was a Muslim, the couple were engaged, and the Royal Family did not want a Muslim married to Diana, whom he believed may well have pregnant our already. The killing was to be set up by our military and secret agencies
.

Now, the present story is that Diana was killed by the military. It is the same story revisited; why would the military want her dead? On whose orders? On whose behalf?

It is absurd, but it is reasonable to ask, as I did, sarcastically and humorously, whether the story continues with the claim, made before, that Prince Philip was behind the murder !

Now, tell us all AOG, what is there to be ashamed of in that?
Fred...not sure why you are berated here ? The stupid person who owns Harrods has spent the last few years accusing Prince Philip of being responsible for his sons death, so I am at a loss to understand why your tongue-in-cheek comment was pounced upon.

Can't we leave Diana to rest in peace ? I am far from being a Royalist but I feel so sorry for her two sons.

Enough already.
"The stupid person who owns Harrods"

ok, let me think about that for a second, hes a stupid rich and successful businessman .....whereas youre always on here....

hilarious

....//The stupid person who owns Harrods...//

what possible connection is there between Qatar Holdings, and the death of Diana?
Scotland Yard are apparently looking into these new leads. If it was sanctioned via government and military top brass then I'm sure a quiet word in right met police ear will quash any progress.
//I thought the driver was speeding and over the drink/drive limit? In which case, what else is there to know? // C'mon pixie surely you've heard of cover ups & false evidence !!!

WR.
I blame Al fayed's chief of security. If he had arranged for a car with darkened windows to have been at Dodi's disposal when they were in Paris none of this would have happened.
I find it a bit suspect that 3 people did not wear seat belts while being chased by the paps. and surely a decent body guard and a respected driver would ensure the passengers would be wearing seat belts. ( I smell a rat ) .
If there was a conspiracy, then it needs to be discovered, but I don't think it ever will. RIP Di x
you can bet youre bottom dollar that there was no way in a million years that "the establishment" were going to have her marry a muslim.

conspiracy... or for them a fortuitous accident
^ agree
Of course it will never be resolved because despite all the evidence not to mention common sense that days it was an accident there will always be people prepared to believe in foul play. No doubt many of them the same people who ridicule religious beliefs :-)
Many people (myself included) have always had doubts about reported events of that night. If there was a plot to murder them then, we owe it her, to fully investigate all avenues.
Baz, isn't that the wrong way round. Isn't it when a Muslim marries a non-Muslim that that Muslim is in danger from those of that faith with extreme views? Why would a Christian think that way?
"Baz, isn't that the wrong way round"

in this context no
