The truth is that for a decent balanced society you need to have a proper set of values and guides. The Bible goes right back to the start of time and in a very clesr and simple way does just that. If everyone lived according to the ten commandments. I suggest that is the solution.
Goodlife, //There is a time to keep quiet and a time to speak, says Ecclesiastes 3:7..//

Perhaps you should take note. It's your book.

Atalanta, the Ark is reputed to be kept in a church in Axum, Ethiopia. It is closely guarded and no one is allowed to see it.

Have you read Lionel Davidson's cracking novel "Long Way to Shiloh", Atalanta?
I could remember only Shiloh as part of the title, so Googled the author and was amused to find this: "A Long Way to Shiloh (known in the USA as The Menorah Men so as not to be thought a Civil War novel) is a thriller by Lionel Davidson. The book won the ...".

"Demand human sacrifice of children where?"

God doesn't demand sacrifice of children, but he is appeased by human sacrifice in 2 Samuel 21 and 2 Chronicles 15:12-15. I think Jesus also counts as a human sacrifice.

Yahweh murders a baby slowly and horribly in its cradle in 2 Samuel 12: 1-18

In 2 Kings 2:23-24, bears are sent forth at the command of God to brutally tear apart a group of children who have insulted his name.

Sorry my reply is late, by the way. I was away visiting friends and the internet was patchy.
He also smashes the heads of children together as punishment to their parents.

Yet another example of God killing people who had done no wrong to punish those who had upset Him.

God is far from being an example to follow for moral guidance. Indeed much of what is wrong in the world today is perpetrated by those who follow God's example.
//In 2 Kings 2:23-24, bears are sent forth at the command of God to brutally tear apart a group of children who have insulted his name.//

If I remember correctly the children hadn't even insulted God. They had only made fun of a priest's baldness.
