Please can anyone tell me how long does a Garlic Bulb last before you discard it, because there are a few cloves on mine and i don't want to throw them if they will last.

Thanks in advance of all answers.

When they start sprouting or dry up will be the time to throw them out. In other words the garlic will let you know when it is time to discard it.
I keep mine for yonks - unless they go mushy and/or black. They may sprout, but are still viable in my book. Ignore expiry dates, they're just another commercial ploy.
Until it goes soft and squishy, or powdery when you pinch it. You will know when it's only good for the bin.
The bulbs start to shring inside the skins. If the skins are very loose, it's past it's best.

make some garlic bread and use/freeze it. By the way, I don't flaff around with cloves, I do things by the bulb!
If they start to sprout - stick them in the ground to grow.

Glad I'm not the only one :)
I use the ones from Lidl - they are huge single cloves - like chestnuts!! at least 1 in whatever I'm cooking - sometimes 2! We lurve garlic!!!
You could always peel of their skin and freeze them. And they would last for a long time.
