Whenever I go out in the cold, like for a walk or on my bike, I always get earache.

I'm sat here now with my scarf wrapped around my head, trying to warm them up, but it really hurts.

Is this normal/common?

I have found the best way to stop the earache .....is to get into a drunken stupor. Then it's in one ear out the other.

Mrs BS here

I suffered earache for months with various remedies non of which worked, until I visited a private dentist and he confirmed that I have an exposed nerve/root in my mouth. When exposed to cold air, it causes pain that travels to my ear and it has been unbearable.

My dentist suggested Colgate sensitive toothpaste, to be rubbed onto the site of the problem twice a day and to also use it as a toothpaste. I was very amazed that it worked and extremely pleased.

However Mr BS came up with a more cost effective measure and said I should keep my mouth shut!!!!!
