Church Burial

How does a person qualify for being buried in a churchyard? Do they need to be religious, a member of that parish, a regular attendee at that church, or can a complete stranger from a different area who isn't eve religious qualify as it were?

Inscriptions are regulated.... "murdered by so and so (who is one)" is likely to be refused even if it is true

gravestones are as well. I have bought a grave plot in a victorian look cemetery, and I will be allowed, angels on plinthes, broken vases. draped pillars (one only) but not a plastic worlitzer organ which flashes (oo-la-la) and pops out of the ground.
