Yes I was 15 and came out of hospital Xmas week with my leg in plaster from top to bottom for 6 weeks. Very scarey trying to get about on my walking sticks.....................

I lived in Canada then, lots of snow but the news was full of reports of heavy snow in England.

I remember both, in 1947 going to infant school and the snow going over the top of my welllies. In 1963 I'd just got married and lived at the top of a steep hill. It was always horrendous in bad weather, we used to get pea-souper fogs then as well.
