I do think the word "banter" is thrown around willy nilly, though, and often used as an excuse/reason when being abusive to someone - like it makes it ok.
It just seems really daft. It's like something a twelve year old would say in the school playground.
Does it warrant a £10,000 fine though? No. Like I said, a tad harsh.
I did also giggle at "well gay". My Dad asked my 11 yr old son for a "kiss" when he was leaving yesterday, to which he replied "nooooo. That's well gay"!
