Was absolutely shocking Sibton.

My appointment was at 2.50. Now if you have to wait to be seen by the nurse and haven't been taken within half an hour you have to say. But I was taken at 3.20 and I asked the nurse would the dr be long as I had to leave by 4 as my dad was taking me home en route to do a job, she said yes there is a wait as there is only one dr on call and there is at least 25 people ahead of you and i quote ' we can't call in any other doctors'. I said well I'm sorry but I can't stay and I will be in next week for my check up after my laser treatment, can i have this check done then and she filed it on my notes and i left.

Its ridiculous only one doctor - and the waiting room was packed. One elderly lady had to be told that another ambulance would comé for her because they were so far behind that her current one couldn't wait any longer.
Oh what a waste of time and, I suppose it will only get worse with all the cuts

I'm hoping after next week I won't have to go back for any thing retinopathy or not.
Hope you improve qom,its not all bad I have had nothing but the best, one more radio , then back on chemo in the new year.
Lord, I wish you all the strength you need, a close friend is on chemo at the minute, then on to radio in the New Year

thanks owd. Everything seems ok i just need them to sign me off so I can get my prescription changed and can get back in the swing of things.

Good luck with your treatment too :)
Oh, that's a bit crap, isn't it? I don't mind waiting ten minutes longer at the GP if it's because she's spending more than her allocated minutes with someone who needs her attention, but because they're short-staffed - no excuse. I hope things get better for you.

Owdhamer, glad to know you've been getting the care you deserve. Wishing you well for chemo. x
Hope I can be as brave as you lot when my turn comes. I wish you all the best.

Me too Kiki. I'm glad in a way that I left as it meant that some of the more elderly patients that were there could be seen quicker.

Aww what treatment are you having percy?
After being referred by a specialist for an op and waiting for over 30 mins, I went to where they were gathered to ask should I send OH home to come back later, they said oh you're not really serious and we're very busy so you can go.

thats not great to hear Sibton :(
