Is there any distinction (other than age) between a 12 years old pregnant rape victim and a 30 years old who has multiple abortions as her form of contraception?

Is abortion ever justified?

A simple 'yes' from me.
Abortion is a very personal choice I cannot see any woman using it as contraception.
yes, one has been traumatised and violated, the other is a slapper
In the eyes of the law there in no distinction between the two, morally there is plenty.
FGT, I know a woman that has indeed used it as a form of contraception, unfortunately.
What everything she has sex she gets pregnant and has an abortion? She must have had dozens?
Abortion is not against the law..subject to certain conditions.....and providing that the person concerned can justify it in their own mind then it is justified. Yes!
FGT, I know that she's had 7 abortions, she has no kids so possibly has had more.
Does she pay for these abortions?
Yes, of course it's justified. And it's actually no one elses business either except the woman and possibly the fella concerned (depending on circumstance).

And yes, there's a distinction between the two examples you give. But it's still no one elses business.
FGT - I also know someone who had multiple abortions. Her last one was refused on the NHS and she had to do it privately.

To the OP - yes, it can be justified. It's not just 'slappers' that have abortions. Contraception is not 100% (although it is getting better) along with human error; unwanted pregnancy will happen.

Hands up ladies - how many of us have forgotten to take the pill? How many get poorly and puke it up?

I am the mother of a child conceived through my forgetfulness. I was lucky to be in the position to be able to afford to have him.
There are those who say using the pill is using abortion as a form of contraception....I suppose in a way, medically speaking they are right but most people wouldn't look at it that way...

One of the ways the pill works is to make the womb inhospitable to a FERTLIZED egg. If the fertilized egg cannot implant and dies or passes during menses, then an abortion has happened. .....
Completly agree with China Doll.

However, possibly slightly off the op, I think there's some pretty cynical internal party politics going on around turning the issue into a popularity contest dutch auction at the moment.

On the one hand, we have Cameron saying there's absolutely no intention to review current time limits, and on the other he, Theresa May and Maria Miller (Minister for Women) saying they'd "personally" like to see a reduction in time limits from 24 to 20 weeks and James Hunt saying "personally" he'd like to see 12 weeks. So what's going on there then?
What about abortions that are performed for Medical reasons?
^was that a general question baldric?
The pill prevents ovulation, commoner or it did when i used to take it...
I did say one of the ways...the main way is as you say but not the only way...
yes there is a difference in my sympathies for those two scenarios BUT should abortion be restricted because of the latter possibility??
