Aircraft.... Westland Wallace????
The actor was Orson Welles

East End or Docklands ?????

Everest: 3 Apr 1933 - a Westland Wallace and a Westland PV-3; the famous photograph taken from the Wallace shows the PV-3 slightly ahead of it on the approach, so presumably went over first.

First bombs in WW2 on central London fell on night of 24/25 August 1940, in Fore Street, near the Barbican, either as a result of navigational error or jettisoning. First major attack was on September 7, on Dockland and the East End.
