Spiders are evil! I went on a course at London Zoo to sort out my spider phobia. I'm not as hysterical now, but I still don't like the little ********!
I was watching a program on the telly this week in which both spider experts had been completely anachrophobic. Studying spiders had induced a fascination of the creatures. I give them names, it seems to calm down those members of my family who are terrified of them. Our last fatality was Boris, who hasn't been seen for three weeks, size four inches.
I'm with you littlesa, spiders are the source of all evil. I simply cannot watch them on TV - channel has to be changed or if someone else is watching it I leave the room!
I think fear of spiders is so very very common especially amongst women I feel there is some deep seated reason for it in our past. What I do is keep the cylinder vacuum cleaner always ready with the long tube and nozzle and try to hoover it up best I can although I can't get too near. Having said that it is nothing compared to my phobia about .. can hardly type the words ... crickets and grasshoppers ... It even spoils my holidays my fear of insects and worrying what might be lurking around ..
Spiders are good for the environment and eat flies and other insects. They do a good job and you should appreciate them. I was watching a programme and there is one that lives in the house and catches wood louse. It doesn't build a web it catches it's prey live. Would you like woodlouse in the house?
Aggggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh I hate them. I don't kill them any more but I will not touch them. Hubby deals with them. I can just tolerate them IF they don't move. The second they do I go nuts.
Rats, mice bats, u name i can take it but not spidersssssssss.
