The mother of a child savaged by a dog has reportedly been posting on Facebook.
If you were in the middle of a family crisis would you try to find time to update your pages?

In the time of a crisis I suppose making a post to keep people updated is a darn sight quicker than having to make loads of phone calls
Is this the child who is in a medically induced coma after being attacked by staffies and having his nose and ear bitten off?

I don't see why she wouldn't post on Facebook, it is an easier and more efficient way of letting people know what is going on than phoning them individually.

but they can do it by phone these days so maybe they are sitting in hospital with theirs!

I thought it was a way to tell the world your woes. But if it serves to keep family members and friends updated, I suppose it's not as bad as I thought.
Facebook and AB have helped keep me sane through some of my darkest hours.
i hardly get time to post on there as it is never mind if there was a family crisis... but like others have said its an easy way to let people know whats happening...and make sure they get the right story....

The world (and indeed his wife) have indicated that they are entirely unconvinced by the need to know what I had for lunch/tea/dinner - or indeed who I had it with ... but I still tell them anyway ...
fb would be the last thing on my mind !
food posts are one of my fave kind dave lol...my feed is usually full of drool inducing meals either being prepared cooked or eaten.....
People just react in different ways in these sort of circumstances, when my Farther died the first thing my Mother did when we came back from the hospital was cancel his subscription to Sky tv, no idea why that was on her mind at that time.
We thought brainwashing was confined to U.S.S.R and other totalitarian countries but it has been done very effectively in the democracies through the media and clever advertising. That is why some people's behaviour can seem odd to previous generations Sandy.
I have said all along, these dogs should be Muzzled at all times once out of their own home, better still put the buggers down. " I'm waiting"
