..doggy..?

We have been thinking of visiting Animal Rescue, with a view to homing a wee dog.A Jack Russell type/size,would be a favourite..

..today though,met a pal,who had a bonny,black Sprocker..he came from Animal Rescue..must admit,I loved the dog,and its temperment..where can I find a young,female Sprocker,to come live with us..?

*temperament*
I have a Cocker Spaniel female Zhukov, she's nearly 7 months old, she has the most friendly and lovable temperament ever, she loves every man, woman and their dog too!......she's mischievous and excitable too, but great company!...you can't go wrong with a Spaniel whether it's a Cocker, Springer or Sprocker..............
sorry, meant to say, look at rescue centres in your area, or if you want a puppy, I found Callie's breeder on this website....www.k9.co.uk hope you find your companion soon!............

thanks for the tip,Welshy..will give it a look..we are in no rush..but my mates Sprocker was lovely..would really like a placid, good natured dog..
A sprocker is a cross-breed mongrel so there is no guarantees that any little girl dog will be like the one your pal has.

Go to your local doggie orphanage and see what they have on offer.

Have a look at this site and see what you think http://www.purina.co....og+Breed+Selector.htm

thanks wolf..
Jack Russell's are lovely dogs - but sadly often run off, and can get stuck down rabbit holes. Lots of rescue centres advertising for homes for specific breeds under the rescue titles? Battersea aren't taking animals in any more the stray population is so huge, Inspector confiscations only.
springer spaniel rescue sometimes have crossbreeds... another cross you might like to consider but a bit bigger is Springer border collie but you will need to save up for uni fees they are very very intelligent so a bit of a handful
schnauzer, i always think they look wonderful and cuddly
friend has two miniature schnauzers they are adorable
I'd have a hotpot if we had a dog - something hairy with a big smile, I wouldn't care if it were a crossbreed.
i would definitely go for the schnauzer, or perhaps a jack russell.
For me it would have to be a G.S.D. cutest puppies on the street that grow into big handsome dogs. Intelligent, brave and loyal they'll give you hours of pleasure and an added bonus is you need never worry about burglars and muggers again.
Sprockers are indeed Cocker/Springer crosses, so have boundless energy and need a lot of exercise. Ask yourself why the Sprocker was in Animal Rescue! Most rescues don't have 'breeds' or 'types' to order - you need to go look and see what they have got. Many now have their dogs listed online. Also if you want to buy a young female Sprocker you will be paying far more than you would for either pure breed!
Don't go for a JRT. At best they're mental, at worst they're stupid AND mental. In their defense though, they're very lovable, least mine is.
How about a Lancashire Heeler? (Like a JRT but with a warped sense of humour!)

Crossbreeds (Heinz 57, mongrels) are the best imo. We always rescue these type of dogs and they've all been beautiful, healthy and loving. My present boy has GSD and collie in him somewhere along the line ! Would always rescue.
There's a little spaniel pup (Cocker, I think) who comes to our training groups, she's about 4 - 5 months and is the loveliest and most fun little dog you've ever seen! I'm not usually very enthusiastic about little dogs, I tend to fall over them but this one I'd have like a shot, if it ever needed another home. I like Jack Russells too, but they are so noiy - or have I just been mixing with the wrong ones?
