It's almost time to drag out the artificial tree again, it must be getting on for 18 years old by now. I should I buy a new one, but once it's decorated it looks OK. I have some very old ornaments and some new lights. Which kind of tree do you prefer, artificial, fresh pine or LED. Or do you have one at all?

Lol Evian, I used to have to put any ornaments out of reach of my cat, he'd just sit an paw at the shiny ones and watch them swing.
JJ you lucky so & so.

Do you think the real ones with roots keep their needles better. My neighbour replanted one of hers in the garden after Christmas, it must be almost 20ft tall.
Many years ago we bought a real tree for the first time. My 4 year old son trod on a pine needle and ended up in A&E. We never bought a real tree again.

They don't stay fresh for long micmac. I think I'll treat myself to a new artificial one.
Thanks for the clip Snags, just love Simon's Cat. Always have an artificial tree by the way.
I've had the same artificial one for 30years now. It's 6 foot and a bit shabby but looks ok when done up. Can't be doing with needles, just put it back in it's box and put it it in the loft come January.
