Both Jews and Muslims lop bits off their young male children, not for medical reasons, but because their religions demand it, so a hypothetical question. If a case were brought before the European Court of Human Rights claiming that this practice is in violation of a human being's right to decide what happens to his body, what do you think the outcome would be?
Sith, it is not rational to believe, as you do, that something is true when it is proven without doubt to be false. I regret the word 'rational' doesn't meet with your approval, but I can't at the moment think of anything more appropriate.
Sith, //if it is proven to be false, why are there so many more religious people on the earth than atheists? //
Because they, like you, are indoctrinated, and so prefer to ignore the truth in order to cling to their belief that they are somehow special and will escape death. I've given you some indisputable examples of where your book, which Islam claims to be the unalterable word of Allah, is wrong. Nevertheless, you are ignoring them. That speaks for itself, doesn't it?
Yes, because for the past 2000 years or so, faith has been ingrained into people as a matter of course. It's only in relatively recent times that people have felt able to criticise religion without fear of, at best, ostracism - or at worst, losing their lives - and the latter still applies in some cases, but I'm sure I don't need to elaborate on that.
right now your answer is kind of invalid as so far there are more religious than atheists, when the time comes when theres more atheists than i think we could worry, right now though...your answer isnt quite valid.
Not much point in trying to reason with a morally bankrupt coward, whose only criteria for determining right from wrong is who is in the majority and who belongs to the biggest gang of thugs. Where have we heard that before?
