Yet another school bus crashes into a low bridge.

A similar incident took place in March of this year.

how come these drivers don't know the hight of their vehicles, or could it be they rely perhaps on their Sat-Navs too much.

Oh my god !

The whole European financial system is in chaos, Greece are going to default, the Euro will be scrapped, and the EU will collapse in a pile.

And now a bus has crashed into a bridge as well.

We are all doomed.

Is there any need for your totally unnecessary sarcasm?

It is ABers such as you with your unnecessary aggressive ways that is ruining Answerbank in such a way that we witness a huge increase of removed answers lately.

If you cannot join in with a debate on a particular news item, why do you bother to post at all?

This may not be a headline news story, but I suppose to the Mums, Dads, family and friends of these school children right now the financial system is the least matter on their minds.

You should be forever grateful that one of those children is not one of yours, that is of course if you are old enough to have children.

Incidentally,

/// and the EU will collapse in a pile.///

One can only hope.
Quite some years back, our local school bus went on its merry way in the morning along the tree-lined avenue. Same bus driver, same type of bus, same route.
On turning a corner, a branch from one of the trees smacked through the upper deck of the bus, shattering the window.
Both my children were at home with chicken pox that day.
I have seen stickers on bus dashboards, that state the height of the bus.
It's possible that (a) the bus had to divert from its regular route; (b) the driver was new to the route and just took a wrong turning; (c) the driver normally drove a single-decker.
It seems crazy that it was a school bus too, you'd have thought they take the same route every day! I don't think many buses use sat navs to be fair but you should certainly know the height restrictions that may affect any vehicle you're driving, it's nuts!
Those were the days!! Chicken pox, scarlet fever, mumps, measles. How did we survive?
I had measles and mumps together - spots on my swollen cheeks.

No Calpol in those days either.
Just Syrup of Figs and Milk of Magnesia. Yukk!

Your two children having chicken pox couldn't have been a very pleasant time for both you and your children, but I bet you thanked your lucky stars that your children were at home safe that day?

/// Just Syrup of Figs and Milk of Magnesia. Yukk! ///

Syrup of Figs wasn't too bad, but for Chicken pox, scarlet fever, mumps, measles, I don't think so, wasn't that for constipation?

I was an Indian Brandy man myself.

There I go again, introducing 'Race' into the debate.
They were the busy GPs panacea.
Hah!! They gave me the chicken pox too. I know I've taught them to share but there is a limit.

The 3 of us dabbing each other with camomile lotion must have been a sight to behold.
