Initially - money! I was one of the original writers contracted by the original site owners.
I have always enjoyed being on here, had some great debates, and learned a not, and after getting on for twelve years, I guess I'll be the last one, and turn the light out.
When I needed help you were there (all of you). When I needed answers you were there and whenever I need you, you are always there. And you don't even know me personally, only what I have told you. I love AB.
Bobbi - where are you going? You are not going permanently are you?
Andy - what did you write? Was it something to attract people to AB?
Well i've not been on for some time, life and all that, but i do keep coming back now and again to have a peep of whats going on. I see it as a bit of company sometimes, and i also found that other people encounter the same problems as you may have yourself, so to sum up its good.
I love the fact you can be sat at home, trying to work something out and then remember you're a member of AB... and have the answer in a matter of minutes!
I've used this site for loads of things... Recipes, DIY and personal problems. All things you can't just find 'anywhere'.
I do love the regular users, the sarcasm and the general 'community spirit' of AB, but I just think it boils down to the fact that it 'works'.
I'm a newbie of only a few weeks but I'm hooked - its the only social network site I've ever visited! I love it when my questions are answered but I also love Chatterbank .............. and all you lovely people. Trouble is, I waste so much time now ...........

I just love all the attention, I love telling everyone everything about me, what I am doing, what I find funny and how super popular and kind I am. I love it x
I am really sorry you feel like this Trigs :-)
I don't need attention... I get it it from Bill no worries ;0)
Diversity.........not the throwing of young black kids in the air on stage and catching them but the different views from all walks of life, some I agree with some I don`t.
Starbuckbone - before the site opened in 2000, it employed seven specialist journalists who each wrote a weekly feature on their subject, and answered the initial queestions that were posted. Once the site took off, they saw that it would stand alone, with other posters answering questions, so the professionals were 'let go' but I enjoyed being here, so i never actually left!
I wrote for the 'Music' section, and was the Moderator for it as well.
