Agree with marval about the beeping, the one in our bank beeps and flashes at the appropriate slots until you remove the items.
Good luck.................I once tried to draw money from the ATM at the Halifax, it gave me my card back but no money. When I got back to work I rang up to complain and they maintained the money had been given out. After an interview with the manager who insisted the cash in the ATM balanced with the withdrawals I closed all my Halifax accounts.............I lost £250!!
Doesn't the money go back into the machine if you, or somebody else, doesn't take it?

me own fault...:0((
I should have been concentrating on what I was doing
but thanks anyway chapesses :-)
Easily done Bobbi. The day before we went on holiday I went and drew out £250. I was so preoccupied with all the things I needed to get done I took my card and just walked away from the cash point. The woman behind me very honestly pointed out what I had just done.

I left, feeling stupid, but grateful.
Machines will take he money back in if not taken after a certain time. You will need to contact your bank who will look into the matter for you, contacting another bank if it was not your own. As long as it wasn't stolen by someone in the vicinity, the money will be able to be reclaimed and put back in your account. Do not sit and wait, it could take them a while to track it down. I am a bit out of date having retired 6 years ago, but the machines were only balanced once a week and that is an awful lot of audit trail to go through if the machine is 'over' and a good chance they will not act quickly without a claim.

Yes, I have done this mistake once but some kind person pointed this out to me. Boy, was my face red?
I was did this at the asda near work - on the unmanned checkout I got cash back and forgoto pick it up! But the nice lady in charge had spotted it and kept it for me. Lovely person.
Question Author
I hope I am as lucky..:-)
Let us know what happens Bobbi. I hope you get it back. Years ago when my OH was a naughty thoughtless teenager he watched someone do just what you did. Paused in disbelief at the bunch of notes just sticking out of the machine then went to grab them. Just as he reached his hand out the machine sucked it back in so some definitely do that. Hope yours is one of them.
