Well, he was certainly & obviously 'pleased to see me'.

JJ - that is fascinating. But how frustrating is an open ending eh?
I hope you didn't find that porcupine by sitting on it.
Question Author
Yup, that's why I now have a second bum hole ;-)

Ooh yes. Can we do that 'thing' again??? ;-)

Such fun.....
Well, Sals ... whenever I watched the movie, I assumed Holly stayed with Paul.

Then I read the book.

The book is narrated by Paul, years after Holly has disappeared to South America, and it is the story of Paul's past recollection of Holly.

Another snippet ... Audrey Hepburn was reluctant to accept the part of Holly. She was worried that playing a call girl would taint her image for the rest of her career. Her agent refused to send her the script.
Question Author
Good for Audrey that she changed her mind then eh?
Good for Godzilla that she changed her mind then eh?
;-)
one of the ponies came in a bit lame this morning so instead of riding I've been standing in the yard hosing his leg - you didn't know that did you?
Question Author
I didn't rsvp, I didn't.
Poor thing. Does the hosing down ease things then? Ponies are cute, but I've always had a soft spot for donkeys myself.
I'm just offering "Holly" snippets here, Sals, because I thought I remembered that you were another Holly Golightly admirer.

=0)

Ooh, here's one ... in the most famous scene from the movie ... the opening scene where Holly looks in the window of Tiffany's, then walks round the corner to the next window ...

(surely the most famous opening scene from ANY movie, EVER ... yes?)

... Audrey wore two different little black dresses.

A tight one for the "looking in the window" clip ...

And one with a slit up the side for the "walking round the corner" so that she could walk serenely, and not end up walking like Marilyn Monroe.

I am indeed an admirer of AH. JJ.
Ooh, all these initials make me lol and rofl.
I could never understand why Jed Clampitt from the Beverly Hillbillies was in that film.
yes Sal, just cools things down a bit - think he'd just been playing at being a racehorse with his friend and turned a bit awkwardly - the grounds very hard - he'll be fine - agree about donkeys - great animals.
Jed Clampett?

I just Googled him.

So you're thinking of Holly's "estranged" husband, who turns up unexpectedly half way through the film, sandy?
Buddy Ebsen will always be Jed Clampitt to those of us who watched the beverly hillbillies in b+w
So he was pretty much playing himself !!
Here's another jolly one ...

In the film, Holly has a drunk man banging on her door. She seeks refuge by climbing out onto the fire escape.

We never see the man, we only hear his voice.

That voice was Mel Blanc ... who is best known for doing the cartoon characters' voices for Warner Bros.
You only visit once weekly - so you missed the poster yesterday who superglued a stick to his horses head to make him look like a unicorn , asked how he could get it off , a few minutes later asked where he could find a battery powered chainsaw then got suspended...(its true)
