so last Friday night a domestic on the street, tonight I couldnt go home as armed police all down the road

I have never seen unarmed Police - all the ones that have pulled me over have been armed...how do they hold the pen and notepad otherwise?

Maybe at the ParaOlympics next year we may see them?

I don't think it matters if it is a council owned housing site or an exclusive street for the well-off. When I was at work, my boss lived in a beautiful house in a very exclusive street. The chap opposite was a paedophile and was found out and arrested. What worse can you get than that? Whereas, the street where I live on a council estate is quiet and peaceful (most of the time) except for the local drug dealers who usually keep a low profile because they don't want to get caught.
