i travel widely in my job ,towns and cities, observing that south yorkshire -doncaster / rotherham / barnsley must have the fattest people (mainly female) in the uk
sitting outside having a coffee in these town centres and seeing the constant flow of obesity that's passing is in a word "gobsmacking"

epidemic, if you say so, but there is an answer to that, but no one in government is willing or has sense to see one way that you could stop some from binge drinking, or at least ending up in hospital, using valuable bed space.

EM, my daughter is a matron in our local A&E sat night is as if there was a war with the pizz heads & abuse, we agree that if hospitalized through alcohol on the weekend they should be charged.

TWR exactly, and its what i have said for years. I put the same points on here a few weeks back, there is a way, but governments don't look at in a practical light at all. Costing more money to buy alcohol isn't the answer, that only punishes those of us who enjoy a social drink, and the pubs are shutting at a rate of knots at any rate. And i have been in A&E which was an emergency, and saw the same P**s heads, druggies, those being sick everywhere, fighting and stinking the place out, it was a horrible experience.

I have had, JB, but I don't like them.. About once every six months, I have a KFC, that's my lot.
