I watched this series when it was first shown and had to read the subtitles throughout as it was spoken in Danish. It was farfetched to say the least but will watch tonight as it is a US version.
I never saw the original so I can't comment or compare, but it's a rare US production which doesn't depict perfect looking people or places. How often do we see pouring rain in US productions or a hospital morgue that looks like it's in a corridor of a scruffy place or people looking like people we meet rather than film stars. I'm quite enjoying it but still prefer Wallender!
Well that is the first 2 episodes over. It seems to be following more or less the same plot. I think I will stick with for a few more weeks. It seems to be 1 episode per week from now.
One thing I noticed is that I found a lot of the dialogue mumbled and very indistinct. Maybe it's the Seattle accent or my hearing is going
I have not seen the Danish version but last nights two episodes have got me. Was glued to it last night. As cc1 has already said it's nice not to see perfect people with perfect weather with perfect lives.
I will definately keep watching.
Mm OH watched it, he was a bit put out when it ended, I had to tell him it was on again next week, so it must have been somewhat interesting for him to sit through it.
