I am trying to activate the line for Tiscali broadband. I am getting a message that says 'insufficient bandwidth on usb port - disconnect any usb devices and continue'.

What does this message mean why am I getting it?

Apparently I am towards the limit in terms of distance from the exchange.

Dave.

Hi Dave this may not be the answer but it is worth a thought. Is it a usb 2.0 on your computer?? Most broadband usb modems require usb 2.0 to function because of the transfer rate required, the old usb 1.0 just doesnt cut the mustard im afraid.

best of luck
