tell your 'date' that they had either a 'bat in the cave' (booger) or half their dinner in their teeth ?? Or would you just try and avoid the incident and let them spend the rest of the date looking ridiculous, which to be fair, could happen to anyone of us....personally I would tell them, but that would be the end of the date I dare say..

I might mention the teeth but I don`t think I`d say anything about the nose. I`ve never heard the bat expression before. That`s quite funny. I went to a music festival with a friend the other weekend and she had something up her nose. It was awful because every time I spoke to her I couldn`t stop looking at it.
1st date?
tell them,be honest

Yup a 1st date, guess it heavily depends on how well you know someone...but I would tell them to save them realising later if and when they had a peek in a mirror !
I'd say 'Go like that', while miming the action on myself that would get rid of the item on them. Most people don't find that embarrassing, then you can just 'move swiftly on'!
illogically the teeth yes but the bogey no. It would put me off him completely by the way.

LOL at 237SJ !!! Yes, your eyes just focus on it ! You cant help it ! Each time they breath in and out or on the out the bat makes a little appearance !!!! Ha !
I went on a date last night and right at the end of the night, he told me I had a "massive smudge of mascara" under my eye... which looked like a bruise. Great. Thanks for that.
To be honest, I'd have preferred it, if he hadn't even mentioned it. Won't be seeing that shmuck again, that's for sure.
oh no they would need to know about the bat in the cave hat if they went in for a full on snog, could end up with it making an appearance on your cheek o something!

Eeeeuuwwwwwwwwwwwww ! A bat on your cheek or worse still your lips ! (Makes retching sound)......
i think id have to light heartedly say something, else itd be catching my all the time i looked at him,
and would probably just come out with something like -
''ooh youve got a bit of a flutterer'' and kind of rub my own nose to let them know what i was meaning, and then swiftly move on so as not to embarrass,
but then say ''ooh and dont forget to give me a nudge when we eat later on will you, when im sat there with a big leaf of spinach wedged between me choppers!'' lol
Exactly. couldnt be doing with someone elses bogey, nope its definately a need to know kind of issue!
I once got on an Al Italia flight Dubai/Rome the flighd started in tel Aviv, already sitting in the seat next to me was this elderly lady who had a "bogey" sticking out of her nose that went up and down as breathed, it made me feel sick and I couldnt eat or drink anything on the flight but the flight was full andI couldnt move to another seat.
"A bat in the cave?" thats a new one on me, I don't think we use that expression down south. I like it tho and I think I could say it to someone (but would they know the meaning?) if not Hmmm! then would come the embarassing bit explaining it.

If I met someone on a first Date with a Booger and half their Dinner in their Teeth, I would be down the road before she could even say 'Hello' !
