I had a fabbo baguette once with brie and bacon and cranberry.
Peel off a bit of the rind, sniff it and tell me what it reminds you of ;-)
you could cut it into portions, dip it into flour then egg then bread crumbs then deep fry it. served with a small salad garnish it is an excellent starter for a meal similar to deep fried camenbert.
eat it strangely enough, with nice french or italian bread, leave off the butter just spoils the taste of the cheese, and do not put in fridge, as kills all the taste. Best to let it get a bit soft and eat, enjoy
Another vote for the deep frying method served with cranberry sauce..delish !!!
Brie is one of my favourite cheeses and goes well on a soft white sub melted with sliced cherry tomatoes and leaves of basil and a sprinkle of black pepper.

Answerprancer you said 'Peel off a bit of the rind, sniff it and tell me what it reminds you of' It reminds me of brie, What does the smell remind you of?
Wrongnumber - to be blunt, sp*nk.
lol i shall never look at brie in the same way again

i used to like a brie and bacon baguette (snags and trigs shut it)
That certainly made me smile answerprancer and no doubt you may have many users here now sniffing their cheeses with a funny smile on their faces. Yesterday I found out that human faeces is used to fertilise vegetables and now this. I must say the knowledge here is second to none.
