I may have met the kindest lady ever...went into the new job for a couple of hours to get to know the ropes.
The outgoing Secretary, introduced me all 'round and made me feel welcome. She gave me her "how to" book and her home telephone number in case I'm ever stuck.
I hope I would be as nice to my replacement.

I'd want people to say nice things about me when I'd gone.... and to deliberately withhold information from someone or to be deliberately unhepful would not be a nice, or professional thing to do...

Salla - I understand when the government changes in America the ones going out take all their information with them so that the new government have to start from scratch. Terrible, how can you run a country like that - or a business.
