When i turn 16 i plan on going to a sixth form college and hopefully getting a part time job at a local supermarket. How much, on average would they pay for weekend and holiday work?

£3.64 ph is the min wage for a 16-17 year old but they may pay you more
Would depend on which job you got, or it did when I was that age, they had different pay scales depending on the job, I seem to remember that checkouts was the best paid.
not saying you are old chuck, but i think the days you just did one job in a supermarket are long gone
*snigger*
:(
At 16 I worked three hours on a Friday evening and 8 - 6 on Saturday and got £27... the majority of which I spent down the pub afterwards and on a kebab on the stagger home ;-p
Well it varies from 1 supermarket to another, i dont think sainsburys pay extra for sunday working(you might want to double check this)

which ever stores are close to you apply for them, dont forget theres stores like iceland and co op so if you have 1 of them near you dont discount them,
talk about soft options....when I was a student I picked apples/fruit/hops for 15s (75p) per day.
