To Recycle or not now ????

Now they say that recycling you newspapers to be used for cardboard could damage your health !!! When used as cardboard packaging, can contaminate the food inside. So what do we do now ?
Why cant they just use recycled paper for packaging larger items like white goods etc and just use a thicker bag for cereals but then you get back to the recycling or not of these bags

Can't they just wax coat the inside of thebox?

You'd think the waxed paper lining inside the boxes would help keep the harmful mineral oils from poisoning you.

We put papers and cardboard in a yellow bag. glass in a blue box. tins and plastic in another blue bag. What gets me is they bring a large wheelie bin along and the blue bag and the blue box is all emptied into this wheelie bin so why do we bother separating it in the first place?
