How long do transactions take to come up on your online statement? Money disappeared out my account on friday but the bank can't do anything until they know where it has been spent. I thought it would have come up by now, I just want it sorted :(

My cash withdrawals come up almost immediately - go to cashpoint, on statement by the time I get home and check. Debits by visa (purchases) take a bit longer, especially over the weekend.
If it's already gone out of your account it seems strange it's not showing on your statement - online or otherwise.
Was the money taken out fraudulently, or was it by you? It does make a difference...
If I want to find out how much I've actually got in my account I always go to an ATM. The online statement is always about 3 days behind.

No, it wasn't me. I noticed because the 'available balance' decreased. The 'balance' only goes down to the same as the available balance amount when it comes up on the statement. When I phoned the bank they cancelled my card and told me to phone back when it appears and they would get in contact with fraud and investigate it. It just seems to be taking ages =|
Oh poor you. If it's any help this happened to me and after 3 days they identified who the money had gone to and I had forgotten about an amount that I had paid as usually my husband would have paid it.
Hope it turns out ok.
I assume you are saying you didn't make any debit card payments around that time. Hopefully there will be a straightforward explanation.
It may be a cheque you sent someone at Christmas which they have only recently paid in and is 'going through the system' now
If it is a debit card transaction it will be taken off your available balance as the funds are earmarked, but the Bank cant do anything until the transaction goes through. It may be a valid transaction that has earmarked your account twice in error, and if so the 'earmark' will drop off after a week.
Any news on this yet, erin-x?

Just to update.. i started getting my money back yesterday and i've found the cause aswell. It was because lush had their systems hacked, thousands of their customers have lost money!
So are you a victim of this hacking?
