Since Lloyds TSB in their infinite wisdom decided to split up and become Lloyds banking and TSB, we've had problems with the online banking system.

We have several accounts with them, each account for different things to be paid out, however we're unable to transfer money online from one account to another.

I had to physically go into my local TSB today to transfer money over, and whilst there asked about these problems, only to receive a garbled reply from a teller who im not convinced got what I was trying to say, so I came away more baffled than before I went in.

I've tried Googling, but with zero success. Does anyone know how this pans out regarding the online banking system?

Depending on where you opened the account and the product type, all your accounts will appear on either the old site - www.lloydstsb.co.uk or the new site www.tsb.co.uk. Same login and password works on both sites. Sort codes and account numbers are not changing, otherwise they would have written to advise you of the new details. But, where before you would...

I have 3 LLoydsTSB accounts and there is no problem with online banking transfers did 2 today. Possibly you are one of the customers who have been switched to the new TSB?
I don't think it was Lloyds TSB's choice- more the result of an EC directive.

no FF, that's not the problem, we can get on, fine and dandy, we just can't transfer funds from one account to another.
I've no idea, tilly - my account is staying with Lloyds, I had a letter from them the other day, and my online banking is working fine.

If you are now TSB then I believe that you will have new sort codes etc., but they should have notified you. If you are now with Lloyds then TSB shouldn't be doing your transactions (as I understand it) - but staying with Lloyds means none of the sort codes change. You need to be sure first whether your account is now Lloyds, or TSB.

My branch has changed from Lloyds to tsb. No problem with online banking or transfers. I'm wondering if you opened your accounts at different branches, so that some are now Lloyds and some TSB? That would affect transfers, as they are different brands now.
TSB accounts are keeping same numbers and sort codes

Knowing our bloody luck boxy, we'll have accounts spread over both of 'em! Will scout round online in morning, and try to wrap my head round it all.



Pixie has a point. I have more than one account but always either opened at the same branch or transferred to my current branch. If you opened different ones in different places, some may now be TSB......

could've pixie, thing is, they were opened quite a while ago, and it's hard to remember that far back.

I got a bit frustrated at the bank teller to be honest, you'd think if anyone would know it would be them, but apparently not!
It might not matter. It means that instead of transferring from one account to another (which you can only do within the same bank), you might have to do it as a "payment" from one to the other. Just as quick when you've done it once.

I've been hit by the problem that Lloyd's no longer has any branches in Edinburgh... all of them have become TSB. This isn't ideal, to say the least.. hope to sort through the online banking mess soon, that or switch to a new bank.
I had problems using lloyds tsb online last monday but eversince then its been fine.
From what i understand, they are having some problems with access to current account but generally most problems have been resolved over the last few days. Found the website to be quite helpful www.tsb.co.uk

My Lloyds is absolutely fine, so perhaps it's those moving to TSB which are affected?
