Resolved to vacuum the house every Friday as a gesture of support for Mrs McM. Just about to plug the thing in when the phone rang. After the call thought to myself 'now what was I doing' then trod on the upturned plug and remembered. New resolution......always wear slippers.

I also failed on my resolution today. Mine was to be more sympathetic to people when they aren't well as I generally just don't care. This morning boyf woke up complaining of painful elbow and then showed it to me. I did look a bit red and swollen but I quickly got bored of his complaining so I chucked a packet of Nurofen at him and told him to stop whinging. I don't think I did very well.
pmsl @ Nurse Milly up there ^^^
I planned to shave every day - i hate shaving, but after two days, my skin was red raw, so i have dropped that one straight away!

The other one is to brush my teeth twice a day. easy you might think, but I had a phobia of dentists for years, cured now - but I still have a massive dislike of metal or plastic objects being stuck in my mouth, even by myself.

Sticking to it - and feeling particularly self-righteous doing it!
Lol Andy...I'm like that. I usually get sick when I brush my teeth. Very unpleasant.
Vile isn't it ummm. Fortunately, it's only inanimate objects i suffer with - I hope youo are the same? (ooer!)
Lol...yes. Do you use an electric toothbrush? I find them a bit easier...
I did have one, and it was easier with that - think I'll get a new one.
Usual stuff - drink less, exercise more.

So far I'm failing abysmally on both.
didn't realise the having trouble teeth cleaning thing was so common....I thought it was just me... I agree the small heads on electric brushes are much more bearable....until then it was sugar free gum and mouthwashes on the days I couldn't face it
Someone on here told me something to try. When brushing your teeth continuously hum...if you can remember to do it it actually works...
HALITOSIS puuu - am outta here
Who is that aimed at Jaydah?
if the cap fits
That humming idea sounds worth a try. The present Mrs Hughes often hums as she brushes her teeth - I think that's just a subconcious thing because she is happy, she certainly has no issues with brushing, and constantly nags me about not doing mine - until now of course.
I've used an electric toothbrush for years and I could never go back to a plain brush. I have tried and it just feels weird.
